READING AND TEA TIME- is a series geared towards kids ages 6 to 9 and their parents - Starring Katelyn – a child advocate, model, actress, podcaster, and Ms. Kendra McDowell – mother, child activist, entrepreneur, author, podcaster, actress and producer.
Ms. Kendra is known for her creation of the Land of the Uh-Ohs®. She created a world to help kids deal with the hard knocks of life—a tool she uses to build their self-esteem while making them laugh. Ms. Kendra uses her skills to foster a bond with kids while helping them to develop a positive outlook on life.
We start the show with gratitude, then share a few words about feelings and emotions. Next up is a story narrated by Ms. Kendra and Katelyn; sometimes, they have guest authors who read their books, and the show ends with bold but meaningful affirmations. We always share a fun activity you can do at home and school.
This season, show topics include friendships, self-love, bullying, secrets vs. privacy, and more. Ms. Kendra and Katelyn have a few friends that join them on the show; they include Dr. Word, the word doctor, who teaches kids a new vocabulary word, the tree of hope, which gives kids hope; Mr. George, who is our fact checker, Grandpa, who teaches wisdom while gardening and cooking and of course some friends of Katelyn.
